DPD Storefront Affiliate Program
Unlike the Product Affiliate system which allows an affiliate to sign up to promote a single product, the storefront affiliate program allows affiliates to promote every product you sell through a specific storefront.
If you sell multiple items on one website and want affiliates to get credit for any sale they help generate then the Storefront Affiliate system is for you.
Key features:Once enabled, all “Add to cart” buttons for products sold through the affiliate enabled storefront will track affiliate activity. There is no need to change button code, etc to activate the affiliate program- just a couple quick setup options and you’re set.
One affiliate signup link for your entire storefront- once an affiliate signs up for your storefront he will get credit for a commission equal to a percentage of the cart total of each order (after coupons and discounts).
One hoplink target- During storefront affiliate program setup you will specify one hoplink target URL for your entire storefront.
How to enable a Storefront Affiliate Program:
- From the dashboard, go to the “Products” menu in the blue bar at the top of the screen and select “Storefronts” to open your list of Storefronts.
- Find the storefront you want to affiliate enable in the list and select Storefront Options (note: if you have not created any new storefronts only the “Default Storefront” will be listed)
- Review the Main Options tab to ensure that all fields are filled out. Your storefront will not operate properly without all information entered.
- Click on the “Affiliate Program” tab to access the affiliate options.
Configure your affiliate options:To enable the affiliate program for this storefront and add it to your Vendor Affiliate Program Manager check the “Enable Affiliate Sales” box.
Hoplink Target URL: Enter the URL that you want affiliates to send traffic to via their special affiliate tracking link (called a “hoplink”). This must be on the site where your product add to cart and cart checkout buttons are located. Typically this is the root of your sales site, like http://www.mystuff.com but it can be a specific landing page within the site if you wish.
Affiliate Payout: The storefront affiliate system currently supports payout commissions based on a percentage of the cart total after coupon discounts are taken. Enter what percent you wish to pay affiliates for a completed referral sale here.
For example: If the cart total is $30.00 after any coupons are applied (if applicable) and your affiliate payout is set to 20%, the affiliate will be credited $6.00 for the sale.
Affiliate Cookie Lifetime: This setting dictates how long an affiliate will get credit for a sale after they refer a buyer to your site. If you want to give an affiliate credit for a sale that happens after a buyer leaves your site and then comes back at a later date, set that interval here. If you want the affiliate to only get credit for sales that happen on that same visit, set the value to “Until the browser is closed.”
Note: Generally affiliate programs give affiliate commissions for 30 days or more after a referral action. Setting your affiliate cookie lifetime to less than 1 Month may discourage promotion of your products by prospective affiliates.
Once you have set your affiliate options, click save to store your changes and add your storefront to your affiliate program manager.Managing Your Storefront Affiliate Program:
Once you have enabled your storefront affiliate program as outlined in the steps above it will be added to your Vendor storefront affiliate manager. To manage your program do the following:
- Under the Affiliates menu in the top blue bar, select “Program Manager” under the Vendors heading.
- Under the Storefront Affiliate Programs heading you will see your storefront name in the list- click on “Stats / Tools” to access details of this program.
Storefront Affiliate Program Details Page:
This page is your central control panel to your affiliate program. From here you can get your unique signup URL for this storefront’s affiliate program, view sales and affiliate stats for this storefront, get payout files to pay your affiliates, send an invite email to someone to join your program, or manage affiliates already signed up to promote your products.
Program Details:This section shows basic information you specified on the Affiliate Program tab of the Storefront Options for this storefront. Nothing real exciting here- just be sure the settings are what you want!
Affiliate Signup URL:This unique URL is where you should send affiliates to sign up for your program. Generally vendors place an “Affiliates” link in the footer of their website that links to a page on their own website explaining their affiliate program. On this affiliates page on your own website you would then place this signup URL that affiliates can use if they choose to promote your products.
Affiliates must sign up through this URL to be entered in to the DPD system and have their commissions tracked.
MTD Affiliate Stats / Last Month Affiliate Stats:This area shows how many affiliate sales were made this month-to-date, a running to total of affiliate payouts due this month-to-date, and a comparison to last month’s numbers. This is a good area to get the pulse of your affiliate program, see if sales are increasing, and also to monitor how much money affiliates will be expecting to be paid.

Active Affiliates for this Store:Here is a list of all affiliates signed up to promote your store, as well as an “Invite an Affiliate” link in the top right corner of the list.
To view specific details for an affiliate including what transactions they are being credited for click on the affiliates username. A window will appear that will allow you to review their clicks, checkouts, conversions, performance MTD, and a quarterly history of their performance, and a list of individual transactions being credited to this affiliate.
This is the same information an affiliate sees when they log in to their affiliate campaign manager.
