A quick update to announce that 2CheckOut (2CO) processor support is now available for all paid Secure Delivery Plans.

2CO support requires that you configure two options under the “Look and Feel” section of your 2CO account control panel and then product setup is fully automatic. Setting up a 2CO digital download with Secure Delivery is quick and easy and can be done in minutes!

Today we launched a few important changes to Secure Delivery:

Secure Delivery Pricing Updates:

Due to economy of scale we were able to lower the price for Secure Delivery across the board. Starting at as little as $10 a month, Secure Delivery is now an even more cost effective means to safely and automatically deliver your products.

Secure Delivery - Free Version:

To go along with our pricing updates we have launched a new Secure Delivery subscription plan- the Free Version. This fully functional account allows prospective clients to enjoy a test-drive of Secure Delivery without time limits. See how the free version compares to all the Secure Delivery premium plans using our handy new subscription table over at Secure Delivery Plans and Pricing.

Other Updates:

You will notice a few new advanced features on the Plans and Pricing Page, mainly additional processors, per-product affiliate programs, and advanced stats and financials. These features are in active development now, and along with the plan and pricing updates above back-end changes were made in preparation for these new features.

Secure Delivery v2.0 is a major release that published revised code and new features. This version was a “framework” release in which we released core code changes to facilitate future advanced features, most important of which is the new domain and streamlined design.

New Features:

New domain and site design

Secure Delivery has been migrated from the old domain at www.portallabs.com to it’s new home at www.digitalproductdelivery.com. Important information about this move can be found here.

Improved Product Upload

A new product uploader featuring upload speed, time, and spiffy graphs has been incorporated to give subscribers feedback during their product uploads. This feature is nice for larger uploads (5MB+) where the browser hangs for a long period of time while transmitting the file.

Return-to-Vendor Support

We’ve added the ability for a subscriber to enter a “return-to-vendor” URL on the delivery options page. If a return-to-vendor URL is entered buyers will automatically be redirected to the specified URL after beginning their product download.

Secure Delivery Affiliate Program

The SD affiliate program allows subscribers and the general public to promote SD and earn recurring monthly commissions on referred subscribers. More information can be found on the affiliate sign up page.

Official Secure Delivery Blog

This blog was launched to keep subscribers up to date on whats going on with Secure Delivery. As we are committed to constantly improving the service this blog will aid communication of new features and maintenance and support information to subscribers.

Why the move?

As we have expanded Secure Delivery and added more features and options, we found it increasingly difficult to keep it integrated on our Portal Labs corporate domain.

Secure Delivery has moved from becoming a simple script that allowed automatic downloads to a full-fledged web application that will soon allow sellers to run their own affiliate program, sell their products at multiple price levels, and get the insight behind their sales numbers with a comprehensive stats and reporting suite built into their Secure Delivery control panel.

As a result, we have redesigned Secure Delivery with a fresh new look and given it a new home at www.digitalproductdelivery.com.

Important Information for Subscribers:

• All products have been moved from the old site to the new site at www.digitalproductdelivery.com
• All subscribers should immediately start using www.digitalproductdelivery.com to set up new products or modify existing products.
• All /buy and /deliver links are seamlessly redirected to the new site. As a result subscribers do not need to change the buy links or buy buttons already installed on their sales pages and web sites.
• The new version of Secure Delivery has been in testing for over a month and is 100% functional. However, as with all new releases, there is the possibility of a minor bug or two. Please report any bugs or errors through our support desk, or start a new topic on our Support Forum. Both can be accessed from the Subscriber Dashboard after logging in.

Secure Delivery will support the /buy redirect for until January 1st, 2008. All subscribers will be notified before legacy link redirect support will be turned off following the new year.

What Does the Future Hold?

Currently we are working on expanding the feature set of Secure Delivery to include support for running your own affiliate program using PayPal, multiple price levels for each product so you can make special offers on forums and mailing lists, and other advanced features like customizable download pages, SSL logo hosting for custom PayPal invoices, and more.

These features were requested by our current subscribers. In the next few days we will release a Workboard that will outline upcoming features for current and future subscribers of Secure Delivery.
